Regents Park community centre was purpose built seven years ago on the Tanners Brook school site. It has a hall, kitchen and access to a large enclosed playground which can be used for outdoor games and as a party overflow.
This busy hall is available to hire at weekends for parties. The centre is used as a pre-school, Slim World venue, band practice site and for needlecraft activities. New users are always welcome to join the existing activities - give us a call!
Volunteer at Regents Park community centre
The centre is run by local volunteers who are responsible for the day to day running of the community centre and are always happy to hear from potential new volunteers. Are you interested in your local community and helping run a community meeting place? Anyone living in the area who would like to help is welcome to join. All types of skills are needed; secretaries, treasurers and lettings officers etc. If you don’t want a specific role don’t worry. All centres want community minded, enthusiastic people to help whatever their level of involvement. Most volunteers find it only takes a couple of hours a month.
