Bitterne Manor is a converted building in a peaceful setting close to the River Itchen. Within the fully enclosed garden is part of a Roman wall and the building itself sits on the site of an ancient monument.

The hall can be used for meetings, group activities and children's parties. It is a good, convenient location for a local groups to meet. Currently sessions for regular groups are available, please call for further details.

Volunteer at Bitterne Manor community centre

The centre is run by local volunteers who are responsible for the day to day running of the community centre and are always happy to hear from potential new volunteers. Are you interested in your local community and helping run a community meeting place? Anyone living in the area who would like to help is welcome to join. All types of skills are needed; secretaries, treasurers and lettings officers etc. If you don’t want a specific role don’t worry. All centres want community minded, enthusiastic people to help whatever their level of involvement. Most volunteers find it only takes a couple of hours a month.
