Lordswood community centre is purpose built and set in woodland. Its location is in a quiet residential area and has a large car park.
The centre comprises of two areas which can be hired. The main hall is bright with high ceilings and access to the kitchen. The small hall is suitable for meetings. The Solent Wine Circle meet regularly and the centre is host a disabled keep fit class, dog training, the Chinese Fellowship, the Women's Institute and other clubs and activities.
Volunteer at Lordswood community centre
The centre is run by local volunteers who are responsible for the day to day running of the community centre and are always happy to hear from potential new volunteers. Are you interested in your local community and helping run a community meeting place? Anyone living in the area who would like to help is welcome to join. All types of skills are needed; secretaries, treasurers and lettings officers etc. If you don’t want a specific role don’t worry. All centres want community minded, enthusiastic people to help whatever their level of involvement. Most volunteers find it only takes a couple of hours a month.
