Moorlands community centre is a purpose build centre designed in a Swiss-style. The association which runs the centre voluntarily has been running for approximately 21 years. The centre benefits from being in a nice area with great surroundings.

The hall is well decorated with laminate floors and high ceilings. A kitchen is available for use with hire of the hall. Two martial arts groups currently meet at the centre along with Slimming World and Stretch and Tone.

Volunteer at Moorlands community centre

The centre is run by local volunteers who are responsible for the day to day running of the community centre and are always happy to hear from potential new volunteers. Are you interested in your local community and helping run a community meeting place? Anyone living in the area who would like to help is welcome to join. All types of skills are needed; secretaries, treasurers and lettings officers etc. If you don’t want a specific role don’t worry. All centres want community minded, enthusiastic people to help whatever their level of involvement. Most volunteers find it only takes a couple of hours a month.
