When you use our services...
We will:
Ensure you can make payments and access your account online and by telephone 24 hours a day, 365 days per year
Have a voicemail service during busy periods and return calls within 24 hours
Send prompt reminders to all our customers whose payments are overdue
Update our records within five days if a property band changes
Inspect properties within 10 working days after being informed they are empty
Issue an amended bill within 10 days if a change of circumstance or liability occurs
Provide advice, information and help to customers as appropriate.
Our aim is to:
Collect 96.2% of council tax and 99.2% of business rates, by 31 March 2012
Reply to written and email correspondence within 10 days
To carry out an annual review on all discounts and exemptions claimed.
