If all adults in your household are aged 65 or over, as at 1 April, you may be entitled to a 10% discount.
If you are already in receipt of council tax benefit you will not qualify for this discount.
Claims for the older person’s discount must be made in writing. Forms will be available in Gateway, by ringing the customer service centre on 023 8083 3009 and online.
This discount does not apply to care/residential homes.
