Benefit advice

MazeClaiming welfare benefits can be a tricky business especially if you do not understand which benefits you may be entitled to, or you find it difficult to complete the benefit claim form. Maybe you have applied for a benefit but have received a decision about the claim that you do not agree with.

The welfare rights and money advice unit can guide you through the maze of benefits available and ensure your claim has the best possible chance of success.

The unit offers free confidential advice about all social security benefits and tax credits.

We offer the following services.

Free and confidential telephone advice line.
Our advice line is open to all residents of Southampton plus advice services and support workers within the city.

Appointments (for Southampton City Council tenants) at our office or in your home if you are housebound.
