Homebid is the council’s choice based lettings system. Applicants who have been accepted on the council housing list can use Homebid to view vacancies and make bids on these properties. This means that you are able to choose which home you would like, in a neighbourhood you want to live rather than the council choosing for you
Find out how you can get on to the council's housing list.
Bidding
We place adverts of available properties every two weeks and invite you to place a bid on the web, by telephone (0845 839 8984) or by text (07786 203243)
Allocating points
Bidding for properties is based on a points system. The more points that you have means you are more likely to be the winning bid. Points are allocated dependant on your circumstances. (see more on points allocation).
Advertised properties in Homebid magazine
Properties are advertised every two weeks in the free Homebid magazine. The magazine is available from council reception points, council libraries and local housing offices every other Thursday and Friday.
