Homebid - Choice based letting

Homebid coupleHomebid is the council's system for allowing tenants who are on the accepted council housing list to apply and bid for rented council accomodation in the neighbourhood that they choose rather than simply being told by the council.

Bidding

We place adverts of available properties every two weeks and invite you to place a bid on the web, by telephone or by text. (text no: is 07786 203 243). Points are awarded according to your circumstances which determine what level of eligibility you are for certain properties.

Allocating points

Bidding for properties is based on a points system. The more points that you have means you are more likely to be the winning bid. Points are allocated dependant on your circumstances. (see more on points allocation).

Advertised properties in Homebid magazine

Properties are advertised every two weeks in the free Homebid magazine. The magazine is available from council reception points, council libraries and local housing offices every other Thursday and Friday.
