We want to make sure that new housing in the city meets the needs of all residents. The Housing Development Team works in partnership with housing associations and private developers to make sure affordable housing is provided.
What is affordable housing?
Affordable housing helps people who are unable to afford to buy on the open market or rent private housing. People sometimes call affordable housing ‘social housing’.
