Digital TV installation

All blocks of flats that are on the communal system have had the new system installed except for 9 tower blocks but work is continuing to complete these. We have upgraded your communal cabling systems so you will be ready to receive digital television with Firstline Digital continuing to connect properties to the new communal system. A big thank you goes to all those residents who have assisted in providing access to their homes for this work to be completed. We also ask for all remaining residents to contact them when they receive their letters requesting contact to be made.

The process is underway to switch off the old communal television system managed for the Council by Virgin Media. This work has started in the SO14 area and will continue by post code through to SO19. Following this the only way to watch television will be by the new system so you are recommended to contact the contractor if in receipt of one of the three letters sent to you by them.

If you would like any further information on the new communal system please see our frequently asked questions: frequently asked questions.
