What is an emergency repair?
If there is a health and/or safety risk to you or anyone else in your home then it is an emergency. For example;
• Fire damage
• Burst pipes
• Lift breakdowns
• No electricity (not power-cuts)
• Unable to open a door-entry system
• A wall or chimney is leaning dangerously
How do I report an emergency repair?
You can report your emergency repair by calling our 'out-of-hours repairs service' on 023 8023 3344 out of office hours Monday to Friday, at weekends and on Bank and Public Holidays.
When you report an emergency repair you will be asked to explain why your repair cannot wait until normal working hours. You will find further information about Southampton City Council's housing repairs service in your tenant's handbook.
