External Funding

The Regeneration team supports initiatives relating to worklessness, poverty, social exclusion, skills/training and appenticeships. This work is supported by an external funding unit. The external funding unit produce a regular funding newsletter known as 'Funding Forecast'. and also facilitate the funding and development forum which exists to explore and progress relevant UK and EU funding opportunities.

The Funding & Development Forum is a new strategic planning and development forum with priority to maximise partnerships and funding opportunities in the city. It replaces the Southampton City Council Funding Opportunities Group and the Southampton European Network. The Funding & Development Forum meets quarterly.

Funding Forecast primarily supports the work of the Funding & Development Forum and regularly headlines key European and UK funding news and opportunities relating to worklessness, poverty, social exclusion, skills/training and apprenticeships.
The Funding Forecast newsletter is published every 6 weeks. The latest edition can be found on the Funding Bulletins section of the Grants and Funding pages.
