Groundwork Solent

Groundwork Solent is a charity that works with local people to help meet their aspirations for improved community and green space. Community space includes the space around and near to houses. Green space refers to parks, open spaces and greenways. Greenways can be described as ribbons of open space which follow stream valleys and help break up the built area.

Groundwork Solent entered into a six year agreement with the council. This ends in 2012. In 2007 Groundwork Solent formed a local delivery board. This board oversees the delivery of improvements for people in this city. The delivery board is composed of three city councillors and two Groundwork Solent main board members.
