Reporting Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour

If you want to report anti-social behaviour in action, you should call 101 or follow the link on the right side of this page.

This includes reporting any of the following types of incidents:

- Vandalism and graffiti
- Noisy neighbours and loud parties
- Threatening and abusive behaviour
- Abandoned vehicles
- Fly tipping and dumping
- Drunk and rowdy groups
- Drug related anti-social behaviour

You should only call 999 if there is immediate danger or a crime is taking place, e.g. incidents where there is a danger to life; the use, or immediate threat of use, of violence; serious injury to a person; serious damage to property; serious crime in progress; offender disturbed at the scene of a crime; offender detained and poses or likely to pose a risk.

Alternative contacts

Although we encourage you to ring 101 to report anti-social behaviour in action you may also contact the Local Authority, your Social Landlord or the Police.

The Southampton City Council Community Safety Team can be contacted on 023 8083 2013.

If you are a Southampton City Council tenant you can report anti-social behaviour at your local housing office by phone, letter or personal visit.

If you are a tenant of a Registered Social Landlord, they also have Anti-Social Behaviour Coordinators who will be able to investigate any issues you have.

You can contact your local Safer Neighbourhoods Police Team by calling 0845 045 45 45.
