Safer Southampton

Photograph of sculpture outside the civic centre, by Wilson Massie

Southampton is getting safer every year. Crime figures for 2009/10 show a 14 per cent drop in crime, improved detection rates - and the Yellow Card scheme - launched in June 2009 - has already seen a 27 per cent drop in alcohol-related crime compared to 2009.

Working with you and our partners in the Safe City Partnership we are tackling anti-social behaviour, reducing crime and helping to foster stronger communities. In these pages you can find out about what we are doing to reduce crime and the fear of crime and how you can keep safe and get involved to help create a Safer Southampton. You can also access our YouTube channel and Facebook groups by following the links on the left side of this page.
