What Family Centres do
Our Family Centre teams offer advice and support on parenting and family relationships. We also help families that have been referred to us by social workers.
We work with families:
when there is a child protection plan for the children
needing help keeping their children safe
needing help on reducing risk to children
in child protection or court proceedings where contributions to complex assessments are needed
with children who have been in care for more than six months where reunion with their family is planned within the next three months
Community and support workers work with families in their own home and the local community and can offer support in the evenings and at the weekends if necessary.
