Smartcities Card

The Smartcities card is a multifunctional card which will allow you to access a number of different services and products in Southampton. It can be your bus pass, donor card, library card, leisure card or your ID card. Also it is the new way to pay the toll on the Itchen Bridge. Please use the Itchen Toll Bridge link on the left of this page for information about this service and how to apply.

Anyone can apply for a Smartcities card, although to apply for the Get Active subscription or the Concessionary Bus Pass, you will need to be a Southampton City Council resident.

For information about each service and how to apply, browse through the links on the left side of this page. The Smartcities card is issued free of charge, some charges apply for leisure activities used.

The Get ActiveSubscription entitles Southampton residents in receipt of certain benefits to some great savings off the cost of leisure activities with their Smartcities card including 9 holes of golf and a 50% discount from your rental on your allotment plot. Online application for the Senior Citizen bus pass
Senior Citizens, who are residents within the Southampton City boundary, can now apply for or renew their bus passes Online. Apply Online now or you can visit Bitterne or Central Library where staff can help you apply online using their webcam to take your photograph free of charge.

Online application for cards for use on the Itchen Bridge
Residents and non-residents of Southampton can apply online for their Smartcities card. The card will allow you to make prepayments for the Itchen Bridge toll.
