Our prices are very reasonable – and we offer you the support and service of dedicated professionals. Regardless of which civil venue in Southampton you hold your ceremony, the fees below have to be paid.
Booking and Notice Fees
For each ceremony, the following fees apply:
| Provisional booking - This is a non refundable charge to secure the date, time and venue for your ceremony. A new charge will be made for any changes to the date, time or venue | £40.00 |
| Giving notice - This is the statutory fee payable by each party at the time of giving notice. It is non refundable. By law this fee is payable again for each person should the venue be altered. (Residency requirements will apply again) | £35.00 (per person) = £70 |
Ceremony Fee
In addition to the above fee’s, you need to add the fee for the ceremony from one of the following. If you choose to have your ceremony in one of our Approved venues, please remember that when calculating the total cost of your ceremony you need to add in the cost of any venue that you hire. These Fees are set by Southampton City Council or the Registrar General and are subject to increase annually on 1st April. The ceremony fee is the fee due on the day of your ceremony.

Cancellation fees
When the fee for the ceremony has already been paid, a refund will be subject to the following conditions:
- A full refund if three or more calendar months written notice is given
- Fifty per cent refund if 2-3 months written notice is given
- No refund is given if less than one calendar month written notice (or failure to cancel) or due to circumstances beyond the control of the authority which deem for the ceremony not to go ahead.
