Mid Year Population Estimates

The Mid Year Population Estimates (MYE) are produced by the Office for National Statistics. The MYE is used by central government to determine population size nationally and also give us the best comparison of population across the country.

These population figures should be used when comparing Southampton with other areas and where a national population figure is needed.
