Millbrook ward is on the western side of the city with docks to the south. It is bounded by Redbridge in the west, Shirley in the north, Freemantle in the east and has a population of about 15,500. The ward has a number of terraced houses with gardens as well as estates. There is a large park, Mansel Park, which has been developed into a thriving green space for local people. There are three shopping precincts with local shops such as newsagents, post offices, take-aways, chemists etc
