Harefield ward is in the north east area of the city and contains the areas of Harefield, parts of Bitterne, Midanbury, Moorlands and Townhill Park. It is bounded by Bitterne to the south east, Bitterne Park to the west, Peartree to the south and has a population of around 13,900. The ward has mostly terraced housing, some large woodland areas and some open spaces.
