The access between Scott Road and Bacon Close is used regularly for access to the estate, but people could easily use the Wallace road entrance.
People absolutely fly through Scott Road at high speeds and it's very dangerous. This will not change with the introduction of the 20mph limit.
In recent months we have had 2 serious road incidents here - one where a drunk driver collided with the wall while using this cut through, and another in the middle of the day where two drivers going in opposite directions collided on the corner where Scott Road bends before coming to an end with this small access route. Both of which would have been prevented, if this were closed.
This route is a regular school walking route for children, as well as an area where children play in the street, and just isn't safe enough at the moment. There is absolutely no need for that small access road, please block it off.
Please take this under serious consideration, and let me know if there is a better place to submit this request.
