There are on going serious traffic problems facing Priory Road and the surrounding area in Southampton. Following our public meeting on those problems we call on Southampton City Council to urgently initiate a full traffic management survey of the St. Denys area.
The meeting identified highly unsafe driving, parking and road conditions which pose a real threat to the personal safety, health and well-being of residents.
This Paper petition was received on 10/11/2017.

Southampton City Council is in the process of undertaking a study on the main St Denys Road corridor with regards to both reducing rat running on local residential roads, improving journey times for traffic travelling east / west between Thomas Lewis Way and Bitterne Triangle, which includes local bus services.
As part of this work we will ensure the concerns of this
petition are carefully considered and evidenced by undertaking
speed surveys and traffic counts on residential roads as well as a
review of injury accidents. In early 2018 SCC will undertake local
engagement with residents and businesses to discuss the issues and
possible options.
