Acceptance of EU Grant Funding for City Deal Delivery

To consider the report of the Leader of the Council seeking approval to accept a grant of £2m from the European Social Fund via the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) for the Solent Jobs Programme and approve revenue expenditure for the delivery of the programme over a period of three years.

The grant would provide an employment support programme for 1,200 long term unemployed people across the Solent area. This programme would support unemployed adults with health conditions into employment as match funding for the City Deal agreement with Government.
