My full time occupation is as a councillor. I hold a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Leeds University and a Masters degree in Global Politics from the University of Southampton.
After fifteen years working across a range of organisations in the public and private sectors as an IT contractor and employee, specialising in software, I came into politics from green and union activisim. I was, and am, active in recruiting, organising and supporting volunteers and activities in the community, voluntary and third sectors, particularly co-operatives and mutuals.
Outside politics and community activism, I enjoy walking in the countryside, gardening, good company, food, sport, art and culture.
