To consider the report of the Cabinet Member for Children’s Services and Learning seeking approval for the Cabinet’s response to the scrutiny inquiry report on primary school educational attainment for children with special needs.

Decision:

To approve the response to the Scrutiny Inquiry. 

Reasons for the decision:

It is necessary to approve the direction of work to be delivered following the Scrutiny Inquiry.  

Alternative options considered:

Do nothing – this would be in opposition to Scrutiny and the national changes to be implemented in education and health, alongside the imminent SEN White Paper.
