Facilitating the Development of Vacant Land at Mayflower Plaza, Commercial Road

To consider a report of the Leader of the Council seeking approval to acquire land at Mayflower Plaza under s.227 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, in order to override rights of light and convert them into claims for compensation when the planning permission for student accommodation is implemented thereby facilitating development of a prominent site within the City centre that has been vacant for over 15 years.
