Frequent Bus Route and easy walking distance from main shopping area and Southampton Central Station.
Parking meters on surrounding roads and close to many city centre car parks.

Description
Southampton is very fortunate to have so many green spaces within the city centre. The parks consist of

West (Watts) Park
East (Andrews) Park
Palmerston Park
Houndwell Park
Hoglands Park (featured on a separate page)

These parks are more formal spaces with dedicated pathways and planting.
East Park features the Peace Fountain and the bandstand is within Palmerston Park.

Facilities
East Park - feature fountain, bowling green, tennis courts, cafe.
West Park - Art Sculpture
Palmerston Park - Bandstand
Houndwell Park - Children's Play area

Events
These parks are used a great deal by visitors, residents and workers. Events include family and children's activities, guided walks, Arts In The Park, Thai Food and Culture Festival and regular music in the bandstand.
