The pedestrianised area by the Bargate Monument is the home to many popular markets.
The regular Friday markets have over 50 attractive, continental type stalls. Some of the delights on offer include: high quality fruit and veg, a local butcher, bakery and cake stall, Mediterranean olives, European cheeses, old fashioned confectionery, pet food and accessories, Fairtrade items, leather goods, gifts and a wide range of make up.
If you’re feeling hungry there are also various food stalls offering treats such as noodles, hog roast and ever popular baguettes, burgers and hot dogs.
Open 9am till 5pm.
