Film Location sites in Southampton - Register your property
The Council's Events Team and Film Hampshire receive a whole range of film enquiries and therefore are always on the lookout for new venues/properties.
We are looking for people who might be interested in offering their house, office, hotel, garden, boat (especially if any of these have a unique feature) as a possible film location.
These can then be held in a locations library as part of Film Hampshire as prospective film locations for Location Managers.
Do not worry about the Location Managers calling you out of the blue as all enquiries will come through to Film Hampshire or the City Council first. If an enquiry is received for your property, the Events Team or a representative of Film Hampshire will contact you to see if you would be interested. If you are, we will put you in touch with the Location Manager to discuss the film project, terms and any fees for the use of your venue.
Please note fees are paid by the film production company for filming at your property but they do vary and also depend on the type of filming and the size of crew. They can range from £100 - £500 a day for a photo shoot and up to £2000 a day for a full film shoot.
To give you an idea of the process of Location Managers using privately owned properties, we have put together some information below which you may find useful.
If you would like your venue/property to be included in the Film Hampshire location library, simply go to the Film Hampshire web site (link is at the bottom of this page) for more information or simply e-mail over at least 8 images of the property (external and internal) along with the following information to info@filmhampshire.org.uk
