
The Labour group has won an overall majority of seats on Southampton City Council at the 2012 local elections.
Labour now have 30 seats, a gain of 11.
The Conservatives now have 16 seats, losing 10.
The Liberal Democrats now have 2 seats on the council, down 1 from the last election.
The council will consider the election of a leader at the Annual General Meeting on May 16 and the leader will then appoint a cabinet.
