Students from Upper Shirley High were invited by the organisers of the Big Bang Fair to record the event in Birmingham on 15 and 16 March. The crew spent a day and a half filming and another half a day editing before presenting an amazing documentary of the Big Bang Fair in the run up to the prize-giving ceremony on the last day.
They went around the Fair interviewing a number of high profile celebrities, as well as getting a close up shot of Prince Andrew. The students did Southampton proud with their efforts and as a result they have been asked by another school to produce a film of their forthcoming prize-giving event.
The team worked completely independently and finished their report ahead of a tight deadline. The finished film was screened in the main hall towards the end of the event. It received a standing ovation.
