The transformation of Townhill Park Estate moves one step closer
Southampton City Council’s Cabinet has now approved two reports which lead the way to beginning a programme of transformation at Townhill Park. This is the latest part of the council’s ambitious programme of estate regeneration which is centred on creating successful communities for the future.
Work has been completed to ensure that resources have been identified within the council’s 30 year Housing Revenue Account Business Plan to deliver regeneration in Townhill Park. Initially £2.8 M has been committed to kick start this scheme
Barbara Compton, Senior Manager - Skills, Economy and Housing Renewal, said: “This is the first step towards helping improve the lives of many residents in Townhill Park by providing them and other residents in the city with more good quality homes – both affordable and for sale, and we are now looking to full council in May where we hope these plans will be approved.”
