Stop Child Sexual Exploitation event 2017

Raising awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation and how to stop it

Helping hands1

Come and join us for Southampton’s Stop Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness Raising event on Friday 17 March in Guildhall Square, 9.30am to 1pm.
Chat to staff from the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board (LSCB), Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Hub, Barnardo’s U Turn Service, and Hampshire Police about what you can do to get involved and to help to raise awareness of the signs to look out for relating to child sexual exploitation.

If you can’t make it on the day then you can still help to spread the word by writing a pledge on your hand (or hand shaped paper) which states what you will do to help tackle CSE, or shares a key message about CSE to help raise awareness. Take a picture of your message and share it on social media.

Share your picture on Facebook and tag Southampton City Council (@SotonCC) and Barnardo’s (@barnardos), or on Twitter (@SouthamptonCC and @uturn_missu) and you could be in with a chance to win a prize. Prizes include £25 WestQuay shopping voucher and 6 sets of tickets (two adults, two children) to Marwell Zoo. Entrants must be over 16. The closing date for entry in the prize draw is Monday 20 March. Winners will be randomly selected on Tuesday 21 March and notified on the same day.
