Southampton Local Election Results – May 2018

The votes have been counted and the results are in

The political make-up of Southampton City Council has been decided. The Labour group retained overall control with a majority of 2.

At Southampton City Council’s local elections yesterday on Thursday 3 May 2018, 16 out of 48 seats (one in every ward of the city) were up for election.

The results on the night were:

Conservatives: 7 seats

Labour: 8 seats

Putting People First: 1 seat

This means the full make-up of the council is now as follows:

Conservatives: 19 seats (same as before)

Labour: 25 seats (same as before)

Putting People First: 3 (same as before)

Southampton Independents Putting You First: 1 (same as before)
