Southampton City Council has this week launched its latest online engagement tool – the Southampton Travel Map.
As lockdown measures are slowly eased, the council wants to gather feedback from its residents, businesses and commuters about ways in which it can further support social distancing and encourage more active travel.
To achieve this, the council has partnered with Commonplace to produce the Southampton Travel Map.
The platform allows users to identify locations in their neighbourhood that could benefit from measures to support walking and cycling such as widening pavements, restricting traffic or installing temporary cycle lanes.
The Southampton Travel Map promotes the aims of Southampton’s Green Transport Recovery Plan, which was produced in line with government recommendations, to support the city’s economy, health & well-being and the environment.
