Southampton Registration Services
Located in a beautiful old building in Bugle Street, part of the Medieval 'French Quarter' of the city, the Register Office was originally part of King Edward's School and previously housed Eastleigh Magistrates Court.
Now the building is home to our three ceremony rooms: The Golden Jubilee Room, the Magnolia Room and the statutory Register Office Room.
All rooms have level access and are ideal for disabled or elderly guests. We also have a private interview room where we can make the necessary checks before the ceremony begins.
We also have a beautiful courtyard area, and our historic arches make an ideal back drop for photographs. Within walking distance are some of the old town walls, and these too would provide a unique backdrop for your photographs.

The Golden Jubilee Room
Our main ceremony room, the Golden Jubilee Room, is welcoming and spacious.
It has recently been refurbished with new décor, furnishings, and air conditioning, meaning it's always a comfortable temperature, even on the warmest summer day.
The main feature of this room is the Millennium stained glass window which was beautifully created by local craftsmen. It shows Southampton's link with the sea and also depicts heraldic shields of prominent families associated with the city's history.
Another unique feature of this room is the glued laminated timber arches.
These date back to 1860 and are an historic timber engineering feature. It is claimed that these arches are the oldest existing example in the world.
The Golden Jubilee Room seats 55 people, with standing room for a further 10 guests.

The Magnolia Room
Our Magnolia Room is ideal for an intimate low-key ceremony.
It is decorated in bright and modern style, and seats 10 guests.

The Register Office
A ceremony in the Register Office room will be a simple low-key pre-set ceremony in a working office. There is no facility for music to be played or any readings to be added. The Register Office Room can accommodate yourselves and two witnesses only, with no guests.
'The registration team put everyone at ease and made our ceremony very special.
We cannot say enough about how lovely the staff were!'
