Behaviour Change Training Grant

Our Public Health team has funding available for local organisations to support training staff and volunteers in Behaviour Change interventions. Grants of up to £5,000 are available to pay for staff/volunteer training costs in the following areas:

  • Alcohol – awareness, identification and brief intervention 
  • Smoking cessation 
  • Physical activity for people who are sedentary 
  • Healthy eating and/or shopping and cooking skills 
  • Mental wellbeing 
  • Motivational interviewing 
  • Community engagement related to these areas

Who can apply?

Organisations in the voluntary sector, public sector or providing primary care with the NHS (i.e. GP practices, pharmacies, opticians and dentists undertaking work through the NHS)

Deadline for applications

  • Friday 20 September 2019, at midday

How to apply

  1. Read the application guidelines to ensure your group and project are eligible for funding 
  2. Download and save the MS Word application form to your computer 
  3. Submit the application form and the supporting documents to the email address on the form. You can also submit the supporting documents by post if you need to
