Trees for Life is a scheme for families to plant a tree to celebrate babies born in Southampton.
Parents and guardians of new born babies are invited to a special annual tree planting day, to plant a tree to commemorate their child’s birth. The trees will help to create a woodland area that will be a lasting legacy to help make a positive contribution to the health of the city.
Thousands of native trees have already been planted as part of the council’s commitment to ensure that the city remains a green and pleasant place to live and work
The planting is free and each registered child will be invited to the planting event and receive a certificate signed by the right Worshipful Mayor of Southampton.
Details of next year's Trees for life event (2020) will be announced later in the year.
