I’ve lived in Weston since the blitz in 1947. Before then I lived in Chapel. There have been loads of changes with more pre-fabs and flats.

When I was younger I used to love hearing the bands playing at the bandstand and there were some lovely shoe shops. Where we lived there was a naval shore. I used to love sitting in the garden listening to the boats go by and the music playing. You could even take a stroll at midnight and sit on the pier.
