The City Centre Master Plan
The City Centre Master Plan illustrates potential developments and urban design concepts and guidelines. It is also a material consideration in the determination of planning applications where it is consistent with the City Centre Action Plan following its adoption (but not a SPD). Both documents were informed by the City Centre Characterisation Appraisal. This provides a detailed analysis of the different character areas within the city centre to ensure that development is locally distinctive and takes opportunities to improve the character and quality of the specific area.
