Updating your details

You can update your SmartCities account with a change of address or a change of name.

If you have moved to a new address remaining within the city, or you have remained living outside the city, you can update your account by logging into your personal information page and selecting "edit”. Please note, you can only do this if you have provided SmartCities with your email address.

Alternatively, you can take an official letter containing your new address to one of the venues given below.

If you have moved into the city, you will need to provide us with a document from the last three months that has your new address on. If you have moved out of the city, please contact us.

If you want to update your card with a change of name, you will need to provide evidence before a new card can be issued. This can include a marriage certificate or change of name deed.

Documents can be taken to a Southampton City Council library, or Gateway at One Guildhall Square. They can also be sent by post or email. Please be aware that if you have any concerns about providing information in any of these methods, we recommend sending them via recorded mail.
