Warren Avenue kennels

Warren Avenue Kennels is Southampton City Council's stray dog facility and cares for dogs found in Southampton, Test Valley, Eastleigh, New Forest and Winchester areas.Jackie 2

Dogs are brought to the kennels by Dog Wardens/Animal Welfare Officers from each Local Authority, and by members of the public who have found dogs.

Dogs are held for a short period (7 days) while efforts are made to identify an owner. Any unclaimed dogs are passed to animal welfare groups throughout the south of England for rehoming.

The kennels are open for the admission and reclaim of stray dogs (no collection service available after 4.30pm) as follows:

Monday - Friday9.00am to 9.00pm
Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays10.00am to 5.00pm

Warren Avenue Kennels offers a competitive microchipping service at £14.50 per animal and sells a range of pet ID tags
