This simple but handy regular reminder app lets you know when to put out your bins, but we’ve added a few extra functions. If you select the options we’ll also send you reminders about major events happening in the city and major news in the city as it breaks. There are options to decrease the frequency of reminders to just when bin collections have changed from their normal day. There’s also an email service built in where you can give us feedback or let us know about events and news we should be sharing.
The app is available on Android and should be available on the Iphone very soon, please bear with us. There were a few teething problems but the app is now working as it should on almost all Android phones. Please let us know if you experience any problems.
You can download the app from Android marketplace by searching for 'SCC Reminder' or 'Southampton City Council Reminder'.
Setting up the app is simple, you are asked to provide your postcode and house number from a list but this information will only be used through the app to send you relevant reminders, news and events information.
