What can go in the green waste bag?

What can go in the bag:

  • Grass cuttings.

  • Hedge and shrub clippings.

  • Plants and weeds. Please shake off all the soil from the roots.

  • Leaves, twigs and bark.

  • Cut flowers.

  • Windfalls (fallen fruit).

  • Branches up to 7.5 centimetres in diameter.

What can't go in the bag:

  • Plastic (including bin liners, carrier bags, plant pots and plant trays)

  • Food or kitchen waste.

  • Soil, turf, ash.

  • Stones and rubble.

  • Fence posts and panels or timber.

  • Animal waste and bedding.

  • Branches greater than 7.5 centimetres in diameter.
