Industrial Action
Please be advised that due to ongoing industrial action there may be delays in the collection of your waste. We will endeavour to collect your waste as soon as possible. For more information regarding the strike please click this link- industrial action latest.
For more information on how the industrial action is affecting council services please use the following link: industrial action.
Please note that the collection dates obtained by entering your postcode in the field below are the dates your collections would have taken place on if there had been no industrial action, and should only be used as a guide under the current circumstances.
Waste collection calendars are distributed to residents who receive green and blue lidded bin* collections. They set out collection dates for the year, including any revised dates due to bank holidays. We distribute these calendars to ensure residents who receive wheelie bin collections know what date to place their bin out for collection.
If you do not have a current Waste Collection calendar, please contact Actionline on 0800 5 19 19 19 and one will be sent to you. Alternatively, you can check your waste collection dates using the Where I live section of our website.
Residents in flats and housing blocks do not receive a Waste Collection calendar as crews are tasked to access bin storage areas and collect the waste. There is no expectation for residents to place bins out at a specific point on a specific date as waste should be contained in the bin storage areas. Under normal working conditions bins are emptied from flats and housing blocks on a regular basis.
In future, our web pages will include details of revised waste collection dates for flats and housing blocks due to bank holidays.
*Where we have referred to green and blue lidded bins, this also applies to properties with dedicated black and clear sack collections.
