The intention of the plan is to help create a better Southampton and it is a key component of the planning documents known as the 'Local Development Framework'. The plan is closely related to the draft City of Southampton Strategy, details of which are available from the Southampton Partnership website. The Core Strategy also includes a broad spatial vision for the city and key objectives for achieving this.
