The Core Strategy Partial Review (CSPR) is a partial revision of the adopted Core Strategy. The Review is being prepared in parallel with the City Centre Action Plan.
Following a realistic assessment of which developments are likely to be completed by 2026, a Partial Review was proposed to reduce the target for new office floorspace across the city to 110,000 sq m. Further amendments were made to reduce the target for new retail floorspace to 100,000 sq m. The CSPR also includes a Presumption in favour of Sustainable Development.
Consultation is underway on changes to the Core Strategy Partial Review and City Centre Action Plan. The consultation period ends on 21 August 2014.
Further information on the consultation and examination process is available on the City Centre Action Plan and Partial Review Examination webpage.
