Partial Review of Core Strategy

Consultation ended 23 March 2012 at 12 noon.

The Core Strategy Partial Review is a partial revision of the adopted Core Strategy, extending solely to office development targets in the city centre. The Review is being prepared in parallel with the City Centre Action Plan.

Following a realistic assessment of which developments are likely to be completed by 2026, it is proposed to reduce the target for new office floorspace across the city from 322,000 sq m (adopted Core Strategy) to 120,000 sq m. This new target is reflected in the emerging City Centre Action Plan.

Public consultatiion on the documents took place 30 Jan 2012 – 23 Mar 2012 (12 noon). See the downloadable documents below.

The next stage will be to make any amendments following the responses received and then produce the next draft for early 2013 (see the timetable below for further details).
