What is Air Alert?

Air Alert is a service that sends messages direct to registered users informing them about air pollution levels in their area.

Who would benefit?

Air Alert is targeted at people with respiratory health problems who may be affected by air pollution.

How does it work?

Air Alert sends a voice or text message direct to registered users via a mobile, home telephone or email. The message is sent the day before elevated air pollution is expected to occur. People with respiratory health problems can then make choices on what they do, where they choose to go or if they need to take their medication with them. The aim is to reduce the potential health effects of pollution events, and in some cases, prevent admission to hospital.

How much will the service cost users?

The service is free.
