Coaches

Several national and local coach companies operate in Southampton, providing long distance travel options as well as local excursions. National Express operates services to a wide variety of UK destinations. These include Portsmouth, Central London (Victoria coach station), Heathrow Airport, Gatwick Airport, Chichester, Birmingham and the north, Bournemouth and the west. Coaches depart from the National Express Coach Station on Harbour Parade next to Toys R Us.

Greyhound UK currently operates four services a day to Central London (Victoria Coach Station) leaving at 07:45, 09:45, 13:45 and 15:45. Return journeys from London are at 11:00, 13:00, 17:00 and 19:00. Coaches depart from Town Quay, Castle Way, Above Bar Street (Cenotaph) and Burgess Road (outside the University of Southampton).

Megabus provides travel to Birmingham, Coventry, Central London, Leeds, Oxford, Manchester, Middlesborough, Sheffield & Sunderland. Coaches depart from Queensway, Southampton Central Station, East Park Terrace (outside Solent University) and Burgess Road (outside the University of Southampton).
